The elimination matches of day two of the ESL ESEA Pro League Season 2 Finals saw Liquid defeat Conquest (12-16 on de_inferno, 16-7 on de_cache, and 16-6 on de_overpass) and Luminosity take down CLG (16-8 on de_mirage and 16-12 on de_overpass).
Elimination matches for Groups A and B of the ESL ESEA Pro League Season 2 finals in Burbank, California were a strictly not-European affair with all four qualifying teams from North America taking part.
The first game was a match-up between Liquid and Conquest and a chance to settle the score for both teams after Conquest had eliminated Liquid in an upset match back at the CEVO-P Season 8 finals.
The domestic match against Conquest took place in Hiko's court
Conquest got the ball rolling, and no doubt caused many Liquid players to break a sweat, with a sweeping 8-7 T-side half on de_inferno powered by Keith "NAF" Markovic that eventually transitioned into a 16-12 map win for the primarily Canadian team.
The next two maps however allowed Liquid to show that they were the more dominant North American team, and with a deeper map-pool at that, as Spencer "Hiko" Martin led a charge that saw Liquid win de_cache 16-7 and de_overpass 16-6, with Conquest's attempts at making a mark on both maps a mere whimper.

The Group B elimination match was between CLG and Luminosity, and just like the Liquid versus Conqest match-up, the series was a rivalry-esque return to the offline grand final both teams had played at the WinOut Championships, which CLG won.
CLG were however frustrated by a much strengthened Luminosity roster, as Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and his Brazilian damagers played an impeccable T-side on de_mirage and then shut down CLG's offense to take the first map 16-8.
godzera was on point as usual for Luminosity
Stephen "reltuC" Cutler and his crew were stumped on the second map as well, despite securing an 8-7 T-sided half on de_overpass and powering ahead to a 12-8 lead at one point. FalleN busted open his stratbook and his team began to come back, with Marcelo "coldzera" David leading the charge.
Using their higher firepower and execution, Luminosity therefore took the map 16-12 and eliminated CLG from the event.
